About Katie Meuser

Katie Meuser completed a BFA at the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2009. She works as a painter, predominantly with watercolor, acrylic, and ink to make large scale abstracts both, non- objective and expressionist. Katie uses a free flowing technique she developed while attending university. This process is her unique approach to feeling her works as opposed to just seeing it.

Katie was the featured artist for Beauty & Brawn at Chicago Ideas Week, 2016. She displayed her work in Activate Chicago, a pop up art festival in downtown Chicago, 2016. She has had solo shows at New Wave Coffee, Chicago, IL, 2016, Phoenix Art Gallery and Essential Goods in Lawrence, KS, 2015, 2014, Suit Sixteen Gallery and Woods Gallery in Lincoln, NE, 2014, 2013, Walker Gallery in Kearney, NE 2009. Katie had a group show at Beauty and Brawn Gallery in Chicago, 2016 and displayed her work in a few locations in Seoul, South Korea while she was living there from 2010-2012. Katie is also the creator of KTCARDS, a line of greeting cards she started in 2012 and currently still creating. They are sold at Wolfbait & B Girls in Chicago IL, Essential Goods in Lawrence Kansas, and Designist in Dublin, Ireland.
